Crystal and Mommie

Fourteen years ago, my husband went home to be with the Lord and I was left with a precious six year old daughter, Crystal Danielle.

I felt lifeless! After relocating from Virginia back to the state of Maryland, I took a year off from working to allow my mind, body and soul to be refreshed, restored and renewed by God. It was a season of hurt, pain, persecution, sleepless nights, and unanswered questions -- but the Lord kept me.

It was during this time of my life that I was inspired by God to write as a method of releasing what I was experiencing and feeling at the time. It was only through the grace of God that my nights became mornings and my mournings became songs of praise unto the Lord. Even when I didn't understand, God was faithful to me and has brought me to a wealthy place in Him.

I pray that in my sharing some of my life experiences through poetry and devotionals that you too will be encouraged that God will never leave you -- nor forsake you. You can call on Him, and he will answer. The faithfulness of God is forever present in our lives -- no matter the season.
